It's another masterpiece by director Girish Kasaravalli after 'Kanasembo Kudureyaneri'. Koormaavathaara, based on novelist Kum Veerabhadrappa's work, speaks of the troubles that an honest government employee hailing from a middle class family has to face after being selected to play the role of Gandhiji in a small budget serial. A must-watch movie for all age groups.

Plot
Anandarao (Shikaripura Krishnamurthy) is an honest government employee. He hails from a middle class family comprising his son, daughter-in-law and grandson. He is selected to play the role of Gandhiji by director Chandan (Apoorva Kasaravalli) for the serial 'Mahatma'. Though Anandrao is not adept at acting, circumstances force him to accept the role. As the shooting continues, he becomes depressed as he finds that it is easy to talk of Gandhiji's principles but difficult to follow and implement.
