Review
-----------
Jyeshta reminds you of films like Odahuttidavaru and Yajamana. Director Suresh Krishna has remade the Malayalam hit Valyettan. It revolves around five brothers. Vishnu (Vishnuvardhan) brings up his brothers after his father was murdered. His uncle (KSL Swamy) denies them of their father?s property. The five brothers come to live in the village where their father had lived.
The rest is about how their cousin Bhadra (Sharath Lohitashwa) tries to break their family and finally, how the two families unite. The director tries to glorify the role of Jyeshta (the elder brother), played by Vishnuvardhan. The film has all the commercial elements, an item song and comedy scenes, but the whole film is like mega soap.
For Vishnuvardhan it is a meaty role and he does justice. Ashima Bhalla role is a limited one. Cinematographer has captured the village scenes is all reality. S.A. Rajkumar's tunes to lyricist K Kalyan?s is catchy. Dialogues by B.A. Madhu are natural.
