Plot
The film begins with Karthik (R. Madhavan) frantically searching for his wife, Shakthi (Shalini), who has gone missing. The story then unfolds in a non-linear narrative, flashing back to how they met, fell in love, and secretly married against the backdrop of their feuding families. While Karthik is a budding software engineer from an upper-middle-class family, Shakthi is a medical student from a more traditional, middle-class background. After their secret marriage, they continue to live in their respective homes, but the strain of keeping their relationship hidden and the ensuing misunderstandings begin to cause cracks in their bond. The film explores the realistic challenges of love and marriage after the initial romance fades.
