Plot

The story revolves around Kurien Chacko (Nivin Pauly), who is leading a happy life in London. He returns to his hometown in Kerala for what he believes is an engagement ceremony. However, the family has gathered for a different, more serious reason: his mother, Sheela Chacko (Shanthi Krishna), has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The film explores how the family members, each with their own quirks and personalities, cope with the situation. It humorously and poignantly depicts their journey through her treatment, their fears, and the moments of love and bonding that bring them closer during this challenging "idavela" (interval) in their lives.
