Story

The story follows the life of a young man, Jai Raj (Sharan), who escapes from police custody to look for his missing father, Nagabharana. Yogaraj (Harish Raj), who stays with his maternal uncle, (Ramakrishna) is searching for a bride. As per the family astrologer, he should marry a girl of a particular nakshatra and only then will he do well in life. Yogaraj, not quite successful in his business, needs to follow his uncle's instructions, so that he can inherit the family's wealth. Meanwhile, he falls for Lalitha (Aishwarya Devan), daughter of a businessman (Suchendra Prasad) living in Mumbai. However, Lalitha's father rejects the relationship.

Yograj takes his lawyer friend Lakshminarayan's (Ravi Shankar) help to convince his uncle, who finally agrees to meet the girl. Unfortunately, the day the meeting is supposed to happen, Lalitha leaves Yogaraj and goes back to Mumbai. In order to convince his uncle, Yogaraj brings Jai Lalitha, a theatre artist, home. He convinces her to play his wife. Why does Jai Lalitha agree to act as Yogaraj's wife and how Jai Raj finds his father form the major crux of the story.
