Plot
Aditya (Madhavan), a software engineer from the city, and Ganga (Jyothika), a playful village girl, are forced into an arranged marriage by their respective fathers. Neither of them is interested in the union. They secretly join forces to stop the wedding by inventing excuses and creating bad omens. Their plan succeeds, the wedding is called off, and a deep rift forms between the two families. However, when they later meet in Chennai, they become friends and eventually realize they have fallen in love. The rest of the story follows their struggle to reunite their now-feuding families to get married for real.
