Synopsis
Everyone says that Appu (Puneet Rajkumar) is a good boy, but he comes over, right from the start, as a rowdy – always ready for a fight. He lives with his mother and father, Venkat Swamy, a Head Constable, and his young sister, Padma . His father frequently scolds him for wasting his time, instead of studying to get good grades. Appu heads a gang at college. Late one night, on his way home, he is attacked and beaten up by a rival gang. He is taken to hospital by Suchitra (Rakshita), who comes along in her car. He needs a blood transfusion, and Suchitra, who has the same blood group, gives her blood for him. She is a newcomer to the area, and she then enrols in his college class. He tells her that he is in love with her, and that he’ll marry her. She is annoyed.
He and his gang clean the cinema regularly, but when he asks for free tickets, when Suchitra and her friends want to see a film, the manager refuses, so they smash the cinema windows, and get in trouble. Then he and his gang beat up a Police Sub-Inspector, who was rude to Appu’s father.
Suchitra’s father is the daughter of the new Police Commissioner’s (Avinash), and she complains to him about Appu being a nuisance. So he sends plain-clothes police to beat him up, and then beats up Appu himself at the Police Station. Eventually Suchitra tells Appu that she loves him. Her father phones Yadav, a criminal in charge of a gang of goons, and asks him to beat up Appu. They phone her father when they have caught Appu, and ask if he wants them to kill Appu - but he tells them just to beat him up, and break a limb. Suchitra overhears the conversation on the extension phone, and is horrified….
Will she manage to save Appu? Will their romance be successful? Watch the film to find out.

Review
I believe that all the songs became superhit. The film was a box-office success, and has been described as “a fun filled with action, romance and comedy” – and that is certainly true. A film starring Puneet Rajkumar deserves to be a success, and he comes over as “the good guy” in all the films of his that I have seen. My only criticism of this film is that although everyone says he is a good guy, with the exception of Suchitra’s father who describes him as an idiot and a loafer, we don’t see too much evidence of that – but he does not come over as a bad guy either. Anyway, this is a highly entertaining film, and I would recommend it.
