Milana is a must see film for Kannada film audience.

Plot
------

Milana is a contemporary film with a classic touch. It has an urban milieu which has been narrated with a feel good fragrance. The most likeable factor in the film is the way director Prakash has handled the subject. Though the film does not boast of any fresh story content, it appeals mainly because of the way that the story has been told on the screen. Finely tuned performances from lead artists like Puneet Raj Kumar and Parvathi is a major attraction of the film. Infact Puneet Rajkumar's characterisation is the highpoint of the film. The comedy plot is sure to entertain all classes of audience.

Prakash has followed a classy narration though he has some quota of fights in the film to please Puneet's loyal fans. But even these action sequences does not look like a forcible addition to the narration. The action sequences are much part of the film. The Kushi and Rishi director has one more classic film in his kitty in the form of Milana.

The story relates to RJ Aakash who gets a jolt on his marriage day. His newly married wife seeks divorce privately with him. And Aakash agrees to her request and sets a course of action in that direction. What happens later. It is better to watch the film on screen.

Synopsis

R.J. Akash (Puneet Rajkumar) has been in a broken relationship with Priya (Pooja Gandhi). He agrees to get married to Anjali (Parvathi Menon) only because of his parents? express wish. When the marriage ceremony is over, Anjali demands a divorce from Akash as her marriage is a sham and she was forced into the marriage by her father when she actually loved Hemant. Akash agrees to give her a divorce and brings her to his flat in Bangalore. Eventually Akash and Anjali become friends and Akash even reconciles and brings Anjali together with Hemant, thanks to his radio program, but it turns out that Hemant was one who loved Anjali only for money and was well paid off by Anjali?s father. Anjali is horrified and attempts suicide but Akash convinces her to move on and encourages her to apply and study in the USA. As time goes by, Anjali falls in love with Akash but Akash does not realise it till the end when she has left for the airport to fly to the US.
The comedy in this film is provided by Rangayana Raghu, who plays the role of a wealthy business magnate, but in fact he is a beggar!

Review

This is an incredible story, a man who is just married, and helps his wife, who will not recognise him as husband, because she is in love someone else. He uses his position as an R.J. to find the man with whom she is in love, and stands by her through everything. This is true self-sacrificing love, Indian style, that we see in so many films. This is a film definitely worth watching and re-watching,
